Bring out the Hidden Patriot in You!!

I was thinking.....While coming back from school, though we are tired to the core still the only thing which we think is when we go out to play with friends. After time passes and this time we are coming from college, no matter how tired we are, we still think how much better can the night be made. When we are in working age, we are in no mood to think about anything else but work, work and work.

In all this we are also bitten by this insect of Technology, luxury, iphones, Macs, PCs and communicators, which we proudly use. In all the hoch poch of the activities going on around us, the situation virtually poses as if no one has time for anything else.

But then there is this one person who is residing within all of us. The guy, which in a way makes us complete. The 100% purity that resides in us is the insider. Its the hidden person who basically knows what we dont even realise in our daily lives. This guys comes out in regular intervals and at that time we really become completely ourselve. All of a sudden a sense of belonging enters us, a sense of responsibility gets into us...its actually not coming from outside from within us, already residing.

I happened to browse the internet, when I came across this blog called "Jana Gana Mana", this blog made that guy inside me come out, as it is the frequency of him coming out has increased, but, I am thankful to the blogger, who seems absolutely clear about his concepts and the opinions seem to be showing us what I didnt realise. Reading that blog, I felt a sense of guilt inside me. I felt, that somewhere whatever we feel as proud citizens of the country, all goes in vain, if we dont know what our National Anthem is all about.

That time I realised the guy within me coming out. Thats the person who made me feel what I should know and now the guilt is gone as I know what it really means. But it doenst just stop here. According to me, National Anthem is all about knowing your country, and just not singing without knowing what it means. Its equally true that inspite of not knowing the meaning of it, we still get a wierd feeling when the National Anthem is on. Thats when, the guy within us is awake!! We are complete at that time. At our purest!!

I started writing down whatever came to my mind on my Laptop and also stuck a post on the bolg "Jana Gana Mana" with sheer feeling of joy that the person in me was awake. Believe me, you never feel purer!!

National Anthem is the first and foremost things to know about if we want ourselves to be called IN-dian!! And NO...no one needs to be educated, or economically advanced or only of the "creamy layers" to know. The IN-dian in me and all of us which resides inside needs to come out.

In the outset of many mails being circulated and things talked about here also about the "Jana Gana Mana" being written for the king who was to visit India. My common sense doesnt allow me to believe in that stuff because firstly the if we buy the fact then i guess the meaning/interpretation talks more about the nation than the so called ruler, and if we go by what the english people were, they would have hated it to the core for the kind of treatment they had been giving us and what kind of people they thought they were. For an anthem to be written for the king, they would need 90% mention of the king and may be 5% of the country, but in our case its totally inverse. So I guess I would disagree on that fact that these set of lines were written for the king. We as so called responsible citizens of India should really understand what we really need to be in order to be even become eligible to be called "Responsible". People talk about big things...but I guess all our efforts would remain incomplete if we fail to recognise its basic criteria. I mean people dont even know the meaning of what they say, follow or do and just blindly do it, thats why they say that our country is so prone to falling to others because we make our own enemies in the name of all these things, and others took undue advantage of us, like the English people did. Its rather a thing to feel guilty that a set of people and a country of a size of one of our states, comes and rules us and continued to do it for a period more than a century.People should realise that our National Anthem is one set of lines which consists of every and I say every part of our country, I guess that covers everyone and thats what Really India is all about!! An Example of secularism and Democracy. The People!! The Republic!! and Our Minds!! this is what all JANA GANA MANA is all about and should be as clear as possible. All for one nation and ONE Nation for ALL!!

In all the hoch poch of the working culture and time bars and Virtual world existances and out of the heavy routines that we are always in, whenever we hear or say the National Anthem, there is always a strange feeling in our minds, goosebumps, face upright. This is that feelign which many people dont realise what it is but they sure feel it!! Everyone of us does. Whether it is in our School annual functions, the 26th or 15th or even at the beginning of a movie in a swanky multiplex. Answer this....why do you feel irritated, when we see someone sitting while the national anthem is going on?? Thats coz we want everyone of us here to be proud of our Anthem. But whats the sense in feeling proud if we dont know the meaning of what we are saying...so be it...its never too late...Its high time we sow the seeds.


What brings us all together is nothing but only this feeling of being one!! Thats why it is called " NATIONAL ANTHEM"...it is called "JANA GANA MANA"....All for one ONE for all!! Lets bring the guy OUT in order to feel IN-dian "Jaya he"!! JAI HIND!!

Sorry it might be gone long way....but dont we get carried away...when this wierd feeling comes in us??
